It appears like the Chinese smartphone manufacturer ZTE is all set to come up with a new Android smartphone dubbed Axon. This device is slated to go official at an event to be hosted on July 14 in New York City. Eventually, the Axon sub-brand of devices will reach the U.S. market at first.

ZTE has posted a teaser page for the smartphone shedding light on some of the aspects of the Axon smartphone. The Axon is teaser to sport 4 GB of RAM that is found only on very few devices in the market including the Asus ZenFone 2.

Similar to the HTC smartphones, the Axon is touted to arrive with dual lens camera setup with dual LED flash at its back. The dual lens camera is likely to provide the support to quickly auto focus and recognize the depth of field. This snapper can capture 4K resolution videos as well. The device is said to use a front facer that can detect the smile of the user to capture a snap.

Apart from the imaging aspects, the Axon is said to feature Hi-Fi audio playback and record via the dual microphones with its best in noise suppression technology. The page further reveals that the Axon houses a large battery to energize the high performance features. It is likely to sport a simplistic Android UI and lighting fast processor.

ZTE will launch Axon in three color options such as Chromium Silver, Ion Gold and Phthalo Blue. The device will have a metallic build and speaker grilles at the top and bottom of the screen. As of now, the price of Axon is not confirmed, but the contest page on the website shows that it will be retailing for a value of $450.
