Zenfone 2 Laser gets ZE500KL gets new Marshmallow update firmware 13.10.7.1

There is a new firmware available for the Asus Zenfone 2 Laser, model no. ZE500KL, with full build no. being ZE500KL_ WW_13.10.7.1_M3.6.45. Because here are too many Zenfone 2 variants, very enough to create a mix of confusion, be sure to check the model no. of your Asus device before attempting to use the 6.0 firmware to update to Marshmallow. Earlier, Asus had released a similar update, build being 13.10.6.16.

Asus has provided a pretty lengthy changelog, although for the most part, it involves what has gone as a result of update than what has been added or changed. That’s for good actually, we wanted that to happen desperately, because it simply means there is less bloatware and this more RAM available to system, thus speedier device.

Asus is currently in the process of distributing the 6.0 update 13.10.7.1 to all ZE500KL users worldwide, and if you own one, you should be getting the update notification soon.

But if you don’t get a notification of the OTA update, and would want to install the update manually, then download it from right below (when link is available, right now it’s not). To force an OTA update, try this: Go to Settings > About > System Update, and check for update to try your luck getting the Marshmallow update.

  1. After the update, will there be any factory resets or should I worry about my apps on SD card being deleted? I am currently downloading the abovementioned update.

    1. The apps that will get removed are listed in the Changelog. No other apps should get removed. And factory reset shouldn’t happen either. SD card should remain as it is too.

  2. I have got the update shall i update or it got any bugs please reply……thank u..

    1. Don’t have any bugs in my knowledge. But this update being Marshmallow, I’d install it if I had Zenfone 2 Laser.
