Xiaomi Poco F1 update MIUI 10.0.6 improves fingerprint scanner, lockscreen and home screen

Towards the end of last month, Xiaomi had released the Android 9 Pie beta update for its Poco F1 device. Then, in the next couple of days, it released the stable MIUI 10 update that ran on Android 8.1 Oreo. Now, a new update is being released bearing software version V10.0.6.0.OEJMIHF and weighing in at 175MB.

The changelog for this update mentions improved fingerprint recognition, significant changes to the Lockscreen, Status bar, and Notification bar as well as the addition of new features like the ability to change the icon size on the Home screen. The update also fixes several bugs that had been plaguing users for quite some time now.

Xiaomi is known for being very slow at providing major updates on its phones, however, the Poco F1 has been slightly better off compared to other phones. We have already seen Xiaomi launch the Android 9 pie beta for this phone and so we hope that a stable version is around the corner.
