Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 to sport display with 18:9 ratio

While most of the OEMs have released their flagship products, Xioami is yet to reveal what it has been working on. A new leak has surfaced hinting that one of Xiaomi’s bezel-less phone Mi Mix 2 will sport a display with 18:9 ratio.

The news has been leaked via Weibo. Although it does not categorically mention Mi Mix 2 in the leak but only says that a Mi phone set for launch in second half of 2017 will have 18:9 screen-to-body, we believe it will be Mi Mix 2 because Mi Mix was the first phone to have this which other recent flagship products like Galaxy S8 and LG G6 went on to don.

Another upcoming Xiaomi device is Mi Note 3 which will also see a release in the second half this year. But we doubt Xiaomi will use the 18:9 ratio feature, seen on flagship products, in an affordable device like Mi Note 3. This leaves us with the only Mi Mix 2 option.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is said to come with a body-screen ratio greater than 91.3% as well as an integrated fingerprint module. It is rumored to sport 6.4-inch curved AMOLED 2K display and Android 7.0 Nougat with MIUI 9 skin on top.
