The Xiaomi Mi A1 features a stock version of Android Nougat as it is part of the Android One program from Google. The Oreo update, which is supposed to be released later this month, would also come in the form of stock Android. In China, the phone is known as Mi 5X and comes with MIUI 9.
To take part in the beta testing program, you will need to submit your application using the Xiaomi MIUI Forum app. The app is available for download from the Play Store and we’ve included the link below. Within the app, you will have to provide the IMEI number of your Mi A1 smartphone.

In the MIUI Forum app, users will have to tap on the Recruitment button shown on the Home page. Here, you will need to input your phones IMEI number. If selected, your device will receive the Android Oreo beta software via OTA. The deadline for submitting the application is on December 11th and only a limited number of users will be selected. So, hurry up!
