Xiaomi launches Mi 6 and Mi Max 2 in Russia

Xiaomi, in partnership with RDC Group, has launched its all new Xiaomi Mi 6 and Mi Max 2 in Russia yesterday.

Addressing the event, Donovan Sung, director of the company’s product and marketing departments said that Russia is one of the priority markets for the company and that it will make sure to bring its latest products to the Russian market as early as possible.

As most of you may already know, Xiaomi launched its latest flagship handset, the Xiaomi Mi 6 and the successor to last year’s Mi Max, the Mi Max 2 only recently.

In case you need a refresher, the Xiaomi Mi 6 features a 5.15-inch Full HD display, octa-core Snapdragon 835 SoC, Adreno 540 GPU, 6GB of RAM, and either 64GB or 128GB of onboard storage. There’s a 12MP dual camera setup at the back, an 8MP selfie camera, and a 3,350mAh battery.

The Xiaomi Mi Max 2, on the other hand, is a mid-range phablet with a huge 6.44-inch Full HD display. It houses a Snapdragon 625 chipset, Adreno 506 GPU, 4GB of RAM, 64GB/128GB expandable storage space, 12MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, and a humongous 5,300mAh battery.

Both the phones run the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat-based MIUI out-of-the-box.

While the Xiaomi Mi 6 is expected to be priced around 29,990 rubles, the Mi Max 2 could get a price tag of 19,990 rubles. The Xiaomi Mi 6 will be available for purchase starting July 4 online and will later be made available offline at the company’s official Mi stores and retail stores. There’s no availability date for the Mi Max 2 just yet.
