Xiaomi announces the Mi 8, Mi 8 SE, and Mi 8 Explorer Edition

When 2018 began, some of us who have been deep into the world of mobile phones were ready for the “notch revolution”. Inspired by the iPhone X, dozens of Android OEMs began creating a smartphone that offered a minimal bezel display and a notch to hold in place the essential hardware. Xiaomi, as we saw in the round of Mi 8 leaks that surfaced was set to follow the same path, but the Apple of China has outdone itself this year by not releasing one, but three variants of their 2018 flagship – Mi 8, M8 Explorer Edition, and Mi 8 SE.
