Verizon Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL have the April patch OTA rolling out

Google Pixel 2 April patch

A new month and as we’ve come to expect from Google over the years, a new software update is out for the Pixel duo of 2017. Just a day into April and Verizon users of the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are already being greeted with the monthly software update, which obviously comes inclusive of the April security patch from Google.

When we crowned the Pixel 2 phones as among the best available on the planet, including at Verizon in the US, the faster software updates was one reason behind that, and it shows here.

Carrying the build number OPM2.171019.029 for both the devices, there’s not a changelog listed along with the software update from the American network carrier this month. Apart from the security level bump, users may also be looking forward to several bug fixes and optimizations, if not any new features this time around.

Are you seeing the April patch OTA on your Pixel 2 handsets?
