After releasing Android Pie for LG V40, LG is now rolling out the Android 9 OTA update for the G7 users. Like the V40, it’s the Verizon G7 that gets the Android Pie before any other carriers in the US.
Unlike V40 though, the LG G7 Pie rollout is not limited to Verizon only as the European unit is also receiving Android Pie (see the screenshot at the top of this post).
The software version for the G7 Pie update is 20b. Besides an upgrade to Pie, the update also packs in May security patches.
Here’s a screenshot of the Android Pie notification for Verizon users. Verizon hasn’t confirmed the rollout of Android 9 update, yet.
