Verizon Just Kids plans announced!

Verizon Just Kids plans

Face it, kids are going to grow up with technology in this day and age and there is nothing we can do to stop it. Understandably, parents tend to imagine the worst when they’re away from the kids but it doesn’t have to be that way. If you’ve been fighting the idea of getting your child a smartphone, this new plan engineered at Verizon may help you ease up a little bit.

The Just Kids plan by Verizon comes with a number of parental controls that help you track your child, manage their “online” time and decide what they can’t see during that time.

This is made possible by access to Verizon’s Smart Family set of controls (usually $9.99 a month) which comes included with the plan at no extra cost. You also get 5GB of 4G LTE data and unlimited talktime and texts to 20 contacts set by the parents.

Just Kids starts at $55 but to qualify it is required that you have at least one line on Verizon’s Above, Beyond or Go, Unlimited plans. If you have more than 3 lines on Verizon’s unlimited accounts then adding a Just Kids line could pull as little as $5 from your wallet. Talk about tiny plans, eh?

So get your kid their first phone. Technology is only getting better and maybe our kids should be riding the wave with us. The plan is scheduled to be available from Thursday, April 4.

The unveiling Just Kids plans isn’t the only big announcement by Verizon for today, as the carrier also began rolling out Android Pie for Moto Z3 (with support for 5G Moto Mod, no less!) and few Samsung devices in Galaxy S8, S8+, and Note 8 (may release on April 4, though).
