Verizon Galaxy Tab S and Tab S2 get December security update, builds T807VVRS1CPL1 and T817VVRS2BPL1

Verizon has seeded new software updates for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S and the Tab S2. These new updates install the latest Android security patch.

The Galaxy Tab S software version is T807VVRS1CPL1 and is available right now. To download the update, connect to a strong WiFi or Verizon cellular connection. You could also check for the update manually from the Settings app. Before installing the update, make sure your smartphone has more than 50 percent charge.

The Galaxy Tab S2 also received a similar update today. If you’re a Verizon user and own the Tab S2 from Samsung, you should be notified of the software update. The Tab S2 software version is T817VVRS2BPL1 and it’s available as over the air.

This update also installs the latest December Android security patch on the tablet. Therefore, these updates are highly recommended. Once again, make sure the device is connected to a stable internet connection and is sufficiently charged.
