Earlier this month, Verizon seeded an update for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ with the October Android security patch and fix for the KRACK Wi-Fi vulnerability. Now, the carrier has pushed another bug fixer update.

This new update still doesn’t come with the November security patch, but it fixes a bug that was discovered in the previous update. Apparently, the previous update had a bug that caused phone calls to fail. Some users reported that they couldn’t make a phone call after installing the update. That bug has been fixed in this new update.

The software build number for the Galaxy S8 is G950USQU1AQK3, and for the Galaxy S8+, it’s G955USQU1AQK3. Both of these updates are available over-the-air, and could take a while before it reaches all the devices. To check for the update manually, go to Settings > About device > Software updates.

Samsung’s Oreo update for the Galaxy S8 and S8+ should be arriving very soon. Just earlier today, the company released a new Oreo beta update for the devices. So far, there have been three Oreo beta released under the Galaxy Beta Program.
