Verizon is pushing an over-the-air update to a bunch of handsets which include Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note Edge, and the LG G Pad 10.1.

Arriving with the builds N910VVRS2CQD1, N915VVRS2CQE1, and VK70029A, the update installs the latest, i.e., May security patch on all the three handsets. Needless to say, the update brings with it several fixes to the existing issues alongside the usual performance improvements.

In addition to the usual bug fixes, the security patch for Galaxy Note 4 fixes an issue surrounding email as well as updates the Amazon Shopping app.

As is the case with any update, make sure the smartphone has at least, 60 – 70 percent charging left before installing the update. Also, try to switch to a Wi-Fi network prior to the beginning of installation process to avoid mobile data charges.

As usual, it’s always recommended to backup your personal data which can come in handy should things get out of hand while installing the update.
