Verizon has certified the Sony’s Experia 10 and Experia 10 Plus as fully supporting its mobile networks. That’s good news for the Sony fans in the U.S. who have had struggles buying a Sony phone while being subscribed to Verizon because of the incompatibility issues.
Sony Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus come with a 21:9 display, and are already available for pre-order in the US. The phones’ pre-orders and the certifications were part of the announcement in MWC 2019, but they have been made official now.
Both Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus look alike and have quite similar specs.
The Xperia 10 has a Snapdragon 630 processor with as much as 3GB RAM, and 64GB storage space (including SD support). It also features a 2870mAh battery, a 6inch Full HD+ display, and not to forget a set of dual rear cameras that are 13MP and 5MP respectively.
On the other hand, the Xperia 10 Plus comes with a Snapdragon 636. Its screen is a bit larger at 6.5-inch, and the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage (including SD support) make it a superb “mid-range” phone like the Xperia 10 as well.
The 10 plus has a 3000mAh battery, and dual rear cameras that are 12MP and 8MP. It also features a +2X zoom. Both the sets come with USB-C ports which are becoming common among newer smartphones now.
Besides all these, the phones also have fingerprint readers, a host of high-end audio support options, 8MP front cameras, and Near Field Communication (NFC) chips.
The phones are available for pre-orders in the United States now. The major retailers in the US will now offer Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus in a price tag of $349 and $439 respectively.
The phones will work on AT&T and T-Mobile networks.
