The unlocked US version of the LG G5 is now supported for bootloader unlock. LG has added the LG G5 RS988 variant to the list of devices that support unlocking the bootloader officially.
So if you’ve been wanting to unlock the bootloader on your LG G5 RS988 variant, you can now do it with ease. Of course, you can always re-lock the bootloader on your device. And it is good to know that the manufacturer supports this process, as not all are okay with it.
