Xiaomi Mi-Two benchmarks are impressive, as expected from a quad-core S4 Pro processor chip

While the LG Optimus G is the first device available with a Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor powering it, the Xiaomi Mi-Two was the first device powered by the same beast of a processor to be announced publicly. The Mi-Two isn’t yet available in the market, but benchmarks for it have been made available by a few Chinese sites who received an engineering sample, and the results are quite impressive as expected.

The Mi-Two beats every other device compared to by GSMArena in all tests, but loses out to the LG Optimus G in processor-based tests like Linpack and Quadrant, with a score of 435 and 7247 respectively, but beats it in the AnTuTu and Vellamo benchmarks. In the tests related to the GPU however, the Mi-Two beats even the Optimus G, though that’s mainly because the latter’s framerate is locked to 60 fps.

The Snapdragon S4 Pro is as powerful a chipset as it was said it would be, and these benchmark results back that statement. It should be mentioned that the Mi-Two isn’t running final software yet, so the scores should increase even further in the future (though it will still depend on how well Xiaomi optimizes the software).
