Vivo Y79 is actually a V7+ with slight less battery

A new device from Vivo will soon see the light of the day. Recently, Vivo launched two handsets Vivo V7 and Vivo V7+. Both the handsets feature an almost bezel-less screen. The new device that goes by the moniker Vivo Y79 is actually very similar to Vivo V7+ but with a slightly less battery.

The new device, Vivo Y79 has been spotted on the Tenaa.com where all the specifications and the images are out. According to the Tenaa listing, Vivo V79 features 5.99-inch screen with a resolution of 1440 × 720 pixels and weighs 160grams which is similar to Vivo V7+. Even appearance wise, Vivo V79 looks similar to the Vivo V7+.

Inside, both Vivo V7+ and Y79 are powered by 1.8Ghz octa-core Snapdragon 450 processor coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory. In terms of software, Y79 is powered by Android 7.1.2.

In terms of optics, again similar to Vivo V7+, Vivo Y79 features 16MP rear camera and 24MP selfie camera. The rear camera comes with an LED flash present next to the camera lens. The fingerprint sensor is located on the rear side above the Vivo logo.

As already mentioned, the Vivo Y79 differs from Vivo V7+ in the battery department only. Where Vivo V7+ features  3225 mAh battery, Vivo Y79 features slightly less 3150 mAh battery.
