Verizon LG G3 Android 5.0.1 Lollipop OTA update now rolling out

We’ve some great news for Verizon subscribers of LG G3, Android 5.0.1 Lollipop is now rolling out for you. The update comes with the software version number VS98523A.

Verizon is the third major carrier to roll out Android 5.0.1 to LG G3 users. Sprint wireless, AT&T pushed the update to their G3 variants a while ago.

The new update includes all the goodness of Lollipop: Material Design, the revised Recents menu, Project Volta for better battery life, the new ART compiler for faster app response, and updated lock screen notifications and the new slide-down Quick Settings to name a few.

This is a pretty big update, and while Verizon is yet to announce it on its LG G3 support page, you should make sure your device is connected to Wi-Fi before you start downloading it. Also, your battery should show at least 50% charging before you install the update.
