For those using Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ on any of T-Mobile and Sprint, there are new software updates being outed by the two carriers to the pair. While T-Mobile has made this information public on its software update pages, it is through tips that we came to learn about the updates on Sprint.

Both sets of users are receiving an update that installs June 2018 security patches to the Galaxy S9 and S9+. As usual, this update also includes a bunch of bug fixes and system enhancements for a better user experience. Both devices on both carriers are receiving updates with build number ARF4 and like any other, they are coming in over the air.

As for AT&T, the carrier is rolling out May 2018 patches to the Galaxy Note 5 and LG V30. While it’s understandable for the former to be getting this update at such a time, there’s not much of an excuse AT&T can give for rolling out May patches to the LG V30 towards the end of June.

The Galaxy Note 5 update is Nougat based and carries software version N920AUCS5ERE1 while the V30 update is based on Oreo and carries software version H93120d.

Similar to the Galaxy S9 and S9+, those using the Note 5 and V30 should watch out for an OTA notification, but this can take days before it arrives. To skip the queue, this may be the time to head to your phone’s Settings > About device and try a manual system update.
