T-Mobile Galaxy Note Edge receiving OTA update with June security patch, build N915TUBS2DQE4

The three year old Galaxy Note Edge is in line for the June security patch from T-Mobile. The update arrives as software version N915TUBS2DQE4 and includes a host of minor performance tweaks and system enhancements.

The Galaxy Note Edge was the first Galaxy device to show off the Edge display technology. The device was launched with Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box back in 2014 and is still staying strong to date. The only caveat with this iconic device was that it never got to see Android 7.0 Nougat.

Samsung has been consistently releasing security updates for the past few months for Note Edge so it hasn’t really been abandoned per se. If you’re getting tired of Marshmallow, then you can try flashing a custom ROM after unlocking your device. This will let you rock Nougat with extra features and the latest Android security patches.

In other news, AT&T is all set to release Galaxy S8 Active to the public now, with the device showing up at a Geekbench listing recently. The S8 Active is expected to follow in the footsteps of its predecessors and sport a military grade standard against all sorts of circumstances. Samsung has also started work on the upcoming 2018 Galaxy A series devices.
