S Pen SDK 2.2.5 announced by Samsung

Samsung is really pushing the envelope with regards to the handy capabilities of its S-Pen stylus bundled with devices in its Note Series, most recently with the Galaxy Note 2. Earlier today, Samsung updated the SDK for the S-Pen to version 2.2.5, and announced it through its developer blog.

The update brings a major feature to the SDK – Multi Window and its related APIs. For those who came in late, Multi Window is a brand new feature in the Note series, which lets you view two different apps at the same time in a split-screen view. The inclusion of Multi Window and its related bits in the new SDK should now allow developers to create more Multi-window friendly apps, as well as improve support for apps to be able to use the S-Pen functionality.

The 2.2.5 update also fixes some of the issues noticed in the previous version of the SDK, and includes 20 sample apps which developers can use as a template to use while developing apps for the S-Pen. If you are a developer, and looking to milk the newest cow in the barn, visit the Samsung developer website to get the latest S Pen SDK.
