Samsung Galaxy A70 to release in Canada soon

Samsung Galaxy A70

Samsung had the old Galaxy A series selling in Canada for the longest time possible and when the new Galaxy A series was launched a while ago, it was never in doubt that Canada would be among the markets to get it.

We’ve just published an article on the potential availability of the Galaxy A20 in the U.S. and Canada and apparently, another device in the series, the Galaxy A70, is also working its way into North America.

Carrying model number SM-A705W, the device has been cleared by the Wi-Fi Alliance, suggesting that its launch in Canada is imminent. We don’t have a specific date, though.

In terms of specs, the Galaxy A70 ships with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-U display screen with an FHD+ resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 octa-core processor paired to 6GB/128GB of memory, and packs a massive 4500mAh battery, much like the Galaxy S10 5G.

Like its 5G counterpart, the Galaxy A70 also supports 25W super-fast charging technology via a USB-C port, but the major highlights of this midranger are the tri-lens camera on the back (32MP + 8MP + 5MP) and in-display fingerprint scanner – features that you won’t even find on the Galaxy S10e despite the price.

For the software, the A70 runs Android 9 Pie with One UI out of the box. In India, the A70 goes for INR 28,990, which equates to about 560 CAD.
