Asus Padfone 2 benchmark reveals a quad-core processor. Could be Snapdragon S4 Pro

The Asus PadFone 2 has made an appearance in the AnTuTu benchmark database with a pumped up quad-core processor. The current PadFone runs on dual-core snapdragon S4 processor which is already one of the best processor in the business, but the addition of quad-core CPU to the PadFone, which is no ordinary device, will only help the device perform better.

Chances are that the newly spotted quad-core processor in PadFone 2 will be Qualcomm’s snapdragon S4 Pro, which is a 1.7 Ghz Quad Krait CPU, the same Krait CPU that’s used in the current PadFone just with two more added cores.

The Asus PadFone may not be selling well, but the device’s concept is pretty impressive. Having a hybrid device that for most of the day is our beloved pocket-friendly smartphone and at the time of entertainment docks gently into a device with a bigger screen, making it a full fledged tablet experience with all the apps and games and every other stuff from smartphone available on a tablet experience. It sounds just the right device, only waiting for its luck to shoot.
