This Poco F2 leak isn’t real, ignore it

The Xiaomi Poco F1 the best surprise device in 2018. No one could have possibly expected a device with the flagship Snapdragon 845 chipset to come in at such a low price. The Poco F1 most notably even was the runner-up in MKBHD’s blind smartphone camera test which shocked almost everybody in the tech community.

Now all eyes are set on next years Poco F2; however, there isn’t much information about the device currently although we do expect to see the Snapdragon 855 chipset on the device other than that, not much is clear. The Poco F2 is expected to be released within Q1 next year but this information should be taken with a grain of salt since Xiaomi hasn’t confirmed anything yet.

Unexpectedly, the Poco F2 was spotted on Geekbench but before you get all riled up, we’d suggest ignoring the leak since the Geekbench scores seem to exactly the same as the Poco F1.

The device name seems to have been changed by simply editing the build.prop which is why the Geekbench scores have the device name as Poco F2 rather than the actual device name which is the Poco F1 itself.

Xiaomi Poco F1 problems and their solutions

We’re almost certain Xiaomi would not be using the Snapdragon 845 chipset for the Poco F2 hence, the Geekbench leak should be ignored. There’s no reason to be disappointed since the Poco F2 launch is just around the corner given that the e-commerce website Flipkart recently announced a buy-back offer for the Poco F1 as well, which is an indicator that the Poco F2 might be launched sooner than expected.

Oh, for what it’s worth, you should know that Xiaomi has already teased us about the Poco F2, here:
