Earlier this year, in January, the Chinese firm Oppo announced the Mirror 3 smartphone with mid-range specifications. Now, it seems like the maker is ready to come up with a follow-up to this device.

As per a recent report that has leaked a series of press renders, Oppo is prepping to launch a mid-ranger called the Mirror 5. This device seems to boast of a mirrored back panel with a distinctive diamond pattern.

The report also revealed some of the possible specifications of the Mirror 5. The device is claimed to arrive with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of native storage space. The smartphone is likely to feature a 5 MP front facing selfie shooter with Beautify 3.0 enhancements and a higher resolution main snapper with Oppo’s Pure Image 2.0+ interface.

On the software front, the Oppo Mirror 5 is said to run on Android 5.1 Lollipop along with the firm’s custom Color OS software.

From the images, it looks like the Mirror 5 is a relatively thinner smartphone, but its dimensions are yet to be revealed. There seems to be three capacitive buttons on the device’s front, a simple camera module at the back of it and a single rear speaker. It seems to have a premium metal design as the other mid-rangers launched by Oppo.

The leak further adds that the Mirror 5 is claimed to be launched in both LTE and 3G variants. It is said that it will arrive in 20 countries by late June or early July. Also, Taiwan is said to be the first market to receive the Mirror 5 smartphone. This tips that the smartphone is likely to be launched soon.
