Oppo Find 5 Price and Specs confirmed!

The Oppo Find 5, the Android smartphone that has shown up numerous times via rumors, mostly in images that looked like prototype/mockup design images, is finally official thanks to a few leaked hands-on photos, and also official is its 5-inch 1080p display that has been its most talked about feature all along and has had us drooling over it.

In fact, all the specs that have been rumored turned out to be true – powerful 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB RAM, 441ppi full-HD 1080p display, 12 megapixel camera, and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of the box. All this power is housed in a 6.9mm body, and while it isn’t the 6.65mm thickness that was rumored, it is still very thin for what the Oppo 5 carries inside. Oh, and the battery also has a huge 2500 mAh capacity despite that thin waistline, and the body will be anodized aluminium. Impressive engineering feat indeed.

Sources say that the Oppo Find 5 will be officially announced in November, and will cost 2,998 Chinese yuan (about US$475) and 3,298 Chinese yuan (about US$523) for the 16GB and 32GB storage variants. It is an impressive device by all accounts, though a release outside China would be very improbable, so don’t be too hopeful of seeing this monstrous beauty unless you decide to import it.

Take a look at some more pictures of the Oppo Find 5.
