Xiaomi’s MIUI 10 beta program isn’t the most action-packed software update program out there mainly because the company hardly includes new features in the weekly updates it pushes out. However, the story is quite different with the latest MIUI 10 beta 9.2.28, whose changelog preview is on our desk.
According to the company, MIUI 10 beta 9.2.28 will begin rolling out to eligible devices tomorrow, the 28th. Once installed, users will enjoy fixes for the issue where WhatsApp notification badges weren’t displaying properly on the app’s icon as well as general system optimizations.
However, it is the gaming community that will relish having the new MIUI 10 beta release more than anyone else. Xiaomi says the update tags along a new Game Booster that aims to optimize the device for intensive gaming by turning off auto-brightness feature when gaming, supports 3-finger screenshot and introduces eye protection mode to keep your eyes safe during the long hours of gaming.
The full changelog will be published on Friday alongside the official download links needed for manual installation of the new ROM. Since the OTA update will be staggered, some users may have to wait until early next week before the download notification arrives.
