Samsung may release Galaxy A 2017 editions in China with Snapdragon 626/653 chipsets, new Galaxy C phones also under planning

According to a new source, Samsung may soon release the Galaxy A 2017 series in China. However, the source states that the Chinese variants would come with a Snapdragon 626 or 653 chipset.

The new 2017 Galaxy A series smartphones were launched earlier this year and are now available in several regions around the world. Both the A5 and A7 models come with the Exynos 7880 Octa-core processor, whereas the A3 model comes with an Exynos 7870.

If the source is correct, then the Chinese variants would come with Snapdragon processors instead. Most likely, the Snapdragon 626 or the SD 653, both of which are very good mid-range chipsets. The source also suggests that Samsung maybe working on new Galaxy C series of devices.

The Galaxy A Series of smartphones are budget devices with mid-range hardware specs. The Galaxy A3 2017 features a 4.7-inch display, 2GB of RAM, a 13MP main camera, and a 2350 mAh battery. The A5 and A7 2017 feature 5.2 and 5.7-inch displays, respectively. Both the devices also feature 16MP front and rear cameras, and 3GB RAM.
