Ice Cream Sandwich Update for Motorola Xyboard 10.1 and 8.2 released

Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, has been officially around for some time now, and after a long wait, owners of the Motorola Xyboard 10.1 and 8.2 have something to cheer about. The official Android 4.0 update for both devices has started being rolled out to both Xyboards in the US.

Not so patient users, who have rooted their devices, may have already upgraded their slates to the next version, but then, the joy of receiving an official OTA upgrade to the next version of the OS is just something else.

Ice Cream Sandwich offers a whole lot of new features, including face-recognition screen unlock, a better browsing experience with faster page loads, video chatting, Google Voice actions, and a data usage tool to make sure you stay within your plan.

If you haven’t updated your Xyboard yet, navigate to About Tablet  > System Updates in the Settings menu, and download the system update to get Ice Cream sandwich on your device.
