Motorola Moto Z2 Force Edition announced with Snapdragon 835 SoC

Motorola Moto Z2 Force Edition

Motorola has quietly pulled the wraps off the Moto Z2 Force Edition. The smartphone is already up for pre-orders in the US and will begin shipping from August 10. The base variant of the Z2 Force Edition, in case you are wondering, will set you back by $720.

The Z2 Force Edition, as expected comes with a 5.5-inch QHD AMOLED display protected with the company’s proprietary ShatterShield technology with a four-year shatterproof guarantee.

At the heart of the device, unsurprisingly, is the Snapdragon 835 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM for the US market and 6GB of RAM elsewhere in the world.

The smartphone comes in 64GB and 128GB storage options with the latter being exclusive to the Chinese market only.

The imaging department is taken care of by a 12MP dual camera setup (RGB + Monochrome) on the back. Sadly, though, the device is backed by a 2,730mAh battery which is nearly 22% smaller than the one on last year’s Moto Z Force (3,500mAh).

As mentioned earlier, the smartphone is already up for pre-orders at Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint and US Cellular and can also be purchased from Motorola (unlocked) directly.
