Motorola Flipout headed to Germany with O2 and Vodafone at €349

Motorola Flipout

Motorola which is making many heads turn with its Verizon device, Droid X, hasn’t forgotten about the rest of device meant for rest of the world, as it announced the launch of Motorola Flipout. Mind you, this one catches with the latest trend found in squarely shaped mobile phones, and in fact is the first android phone whose two sides are equal.

The without contract price is squaring at €349 ($428) and Germany is the first country on Moto Launch Map of the Flipout. By the way, sales start as soon as July (maybe the first week) in Germany and Motorola’s word on availability and pricing in other countries could come anytime now.

Motorola Flipout Colors Available

Here is what packed in Flipout:

  • 2.8 inch QVGA touch screen display
  • Android 2.1
  • Motoblur (No, it’s not anything near Ninjablur, rumored for Verizon devices Droid X and Droid 2)
  • QWERTY Keyboard that of course, flips out
  • Wi-Fi
  • 3G
  • GPS
  • Crystal Talk technology (?)
  • 3.5 mm headset jack
  • 3MP camera

The phone looks set to compete against other medium segment devices running Android 2.1, like HTC Wildfire and Samsung’s Galaxy 3.

More on this will follow as soon as we get our dirty hands on it. By the way, how many of you are actually planning to flip a smart phone. Enjoy!
