Motorola Droid 4, Droid Bionic, Droid RAZR and RAZR MAXX gets update to Lineage OS 14.1

Motorola along with the likes of HTC and other ancient OEMs are known for the solid devices that were made. These smartphones were the forefathers of all devices on root. With the ability to overclock, you could see huge jumps in performance. Such was their legacy back in those days.

Continuing on that note, the Motorola Droid 4, Droid Bionic, Droid RAZR and RAZR MAXX are all in line for Lineage OS 14.1. The devices has had official support for Lineage OS 13.0 build which is based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, but thanks to the update to Lineage OS 14.1, all these Droid devices will now be running on Android 7.1.2.

Right now, the current Motorola lineup has been promised the update to Android 8.0.0. But every other device before that has been pretty much left behind. This is where a custom ROM like Lineage OS will help you bring out the best in your smartphones.

To flash the custom ROM you will need to have a custom recovery like TWRP installed. Unlocking your Motorola device is easy too. Besides, these devices are pretty old so it’s high time you unlock them and squeeze out every drop of performance.
