Root Moto X (2014) XT1095 on Android 5.0 Lollipop

Motorola Soak test for Android 5.0 Lollipop begun for the Moto X 2nd Gen. last week, and we received the Android 5.0 OTA update leaked from the soak test. The update was easily installable via adb fastboot but required an un0rooted Moto X with stock recovery installed. And there wasn’t a way to root it, until now.

Expert developer in all things root on Android, Chainfire, just released root for the Moto X 2014 XT1095 running on Android 5.0 Lollipop update. The root involves flashing a modified boot image which consists SuperSU and the code that is required to make SuperSU work on Android 5.0.

Although the CF Auto Root site states the new root for Android 4.4.4, Chainfire has tweeted that it works on Android 5.0 Lollipop. So you can flash this modified boot image on your Moto X 2014 running Lollipop without worrying a bit. Download the root file from the link below and follow the simple instructions.
