Motorola Xoom 2 Media Edition Rumored. Is it gonna be the best Android eReader?

This weekend has been a massive leak-fest of Motorola devices — we’ve heard about the Atrix 2, Motorola Droid RAZR/HD/Spyder, Xoom 2; and now, we just found out one more Moto tablet. Called the Xoom 2 Media Edition, it’s said to sport a 8.2 inch display, and targets eReader market — call it Android’s best attempt till date on eBook readers.

And Xoom 2 Media Edition does boasts a spec sheet to prove its intentions — 8.2 inch HD IPS display with gorilla glass protection, anti-glare coating on screen (for better readability), weight – just 0.95 pounds (around 430 grams), etc and it’s told that Xoom 2 Media Edition is easy to hold in one hand. Moreover, Xoom 2 ME’s chassis is made of mix of magnesium and aluminum, which reflects the concern for portability. With all that in bag, it’s also being labeled as ‘Splash-proof’ — get the idea?

And to live to its name of Media Edition, Xoom 2 ME has an integrated IR remote and subwoofer pre-installed. Win-win specs everywhere, right?

So, exactly how many Motorola tablets are in plans, you may ask. Well, there’s definitely a 10 incher Xoom 2, and then there is its Media Edition in ‘Xoom 2 ME’ which has 8.2 inch screen. We’ve heard about a 7-inch Motorola tablet too (yes, there is a big market for that), for which we hope details will be out soon. Only an official announcement would clear but we don’t expect it a month or so, at least.

But let’s not forget the upcoming Galaxy Tab 7.7, which also is lighter, slimmer and brighter enough to make any tablet look like a work-in-process. Although, we would agree, Xoom 2, Xoom 2 Media Edition and Galaxy Tab 7.7, all of them products to watch this fall.

So, you think Android world has already planned enough to compete with iPad 3 whenever it comes? And between the Xoom 2, Xoom 2 Media Edition and Galaxy Tab 7.7, which one is it that you’re holding your breath for (don’t hold it seriously, though!)?
