Google’s new video calling app, Google Duo, is gaining popularity for its ease of use and a feature that none other app of its like features — Knock Knock.
Knock Knock is a neat and innovative feature that let’s you see the caller’s video even before you answer the call. And also let’s the person you call see your video while their phone is ringing. Neat, ain’t it?
The feature only works if the person you’re calling has you as a contact. And you too will only see video of the callers you have as saved in your contacts list.
While Knock Knock is a feature many would appreciate, but some might want it turned off. Thankfully, the Google Duo app comes with a direct option to disable / turn off Knock Knock.
How to Turn Off Knock Knock on Google Duo

- Touch the three-dot menu on top-right corner of the app, and select Settings from there.
- Select Knock Knock from the list of options under Duo settings screen.
- On the Knock Knock screen, Turn Off the Knock Knock Toggle at the bottom of the screen (scroll down a bit, if required).
- Go back to your normal business. Knock Knock is now disabled for you.
