Optus has finished testing the much awaited Android Oreo update on its Nexus 6P and will now soon be pushing out to users. The Nexus 6P is already running on Android Oreo across the globe as Google has released the update for the unlocked sets about 7 days ago.

The Oreo update brings some really cool features like Notification dots, picture-in-picture, ability to snooze notifications, etc. stuff. Check out Oreo release details page for info on when we think current gen of Android devices are going to get the Android 8.0 OTA.

Another device is up for a big update at Optus Australia, and that’s the Huawei P9, which was released earlier in April 2016. Optus has confirmed that the Android 7.0 Nougat update for the device is ready with the carrier, and is ready for release in next few days.

As always the norm, the updates will be rolled-out in phases and make sure to keep your devices juiced up at least 60%, the update should reach your device anytime soon. Moreover, if you don’t receive any notification in coming days, head over to Settings > About device > System updates for manually checking them.
