Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 (T713) now receiving Android 7.0 Nougat update in US

The Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 is finally getting its fair share of Nougat for the US variant. The update was already expected as we got to know a couple of months back, when the Nougat roadmap for Turkey was revealed.

The Tab S2 (SM-T713)was released a few years back with Lollipop on board and it’s great to see Samsung keep this device alive for so long.

Nougat update will bring the tablet to life with a revamped user interface, new settings menu, quick replying from notification shade, bundled notifications and a whole lot more. The update goes by software version T713XXU2BQD3, and will be seeding over the air.

Before downloading the update, ensure that your Tab S2 has sufficient charge (we recommend 50% or above) and back up your important data before installing the update in the event of an installation failure.

Unfortunately, this update will not enable Always on Display for the Tab S2 even though the tablet comes with an AMOLED display which is suitable for AOD. Download the update over WiFi to save on extra Carrier charges.
