Samsung just announced the trio of Galaxy S10 smartphones along with a 5G Galaxy S10 variant which would be released a bit later than the S10e, S10, and S10+.
The Samsung Galaxy S10e is the cheapest of the bunch yet you could still pick up last years flagship Galaxy S9 Plus for a lot less. If you’re looking to upgrade from the Galaxy S9 Plus to the Galaxy S10e or simply want to know how the camera on the Galaxy S10e compares to the Galaxy S9 Plus, then you’ve come to the right place.

Galaxy S9 Plus vs S10e camera: which one is better?
First of all, let’s take a look at the camera specifications of both the contenders:
Galaxy S9 Plus camera specs
Rear Camera:

Decision
With the specifications out of the way, let’s check out if the Galaxy S10e actually is better than the Galaxy S9 Plus. Both devices come with dual rear cameras and the primary sensor on either one is absolutely identical. The 12MP variable sensor on both devices are capable of shooting some great images; however, neither one is way better.
The Galaxy S10e comes with an ultra-wide 16MP camera which differs from the Galaxy S9 Plus 12MP telephoto sensor. The ultra-wide option does offer a tad more advantages over the telephoto sensor hence the Galaxy S10e wins some points in this area.
Things take a turn when it comes to the front camera since the Galaxy S10e has a 10MP, f/1.9 sensor which does not outperform the Galaxy S9 Plus 8MP, f/1.7 front camera in low-light situations.
In a bright situation, you might notice a tad more detail with the Galaxy S10e front camera given the higher MP sensor. Nonetheless, you shouldn’t consider upgrading to the S10e from the Galaxy S9 Plus just for the camera.
