Galaxy J2 Prime and Galaxy Grand Lite receive January security patch

The Galaxy Grand Lite and the Galaxy J2 Prime from Samsung have now got their January Security patches through an update. It’s great to see Samsung catering to devices like the Galaxy Grand Lite, that is almost three years old now, and a budget segment ace, the Galaxy J2 Prime. The usual norm from OEMs these days is to casually forget about updating current devices and just release it for the new devices.

The software version is G532GDXU1AQA4 for the Galaxy J2 Prime and the update is Marshmallow based. And as for the Galaxy Grand Lite, the software version is I9060CUBS0AQA1 while it runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat.

  1. I like and use this phone. But the main issue with this phone is performance, it slowed down performance when we play some heavy games. Overall the phone is good but in terms of performance, it should be improved.
