How to force download Android 9 Pie update OTA update on Nokia phones

How to force download Pie update for Nokia device

Keep in mind that this process is only for those devices for which Android Pie uu has been confirmed to be rolling out.

So without much further ado, let’s check out how to get the update on your Nokia Android phone.

1. Download and install a VPN app from the Google Play Store.

2. Turn off your Nokia device.
3. Remove the SIM card(s).
4. Turn on the device and proceed by following these steps:
   • Open the Settings app.
   • Clear the cache and data for these apps – Google App, Google Framework, Google Play Services, and Location Service.
     • Go to Settings > Apps and notifications > Select the ‘mentioned’ apps > Storage > Clear data and cache. 
     • To show the system apps, tap on the 3-dots button and then tap on Show system apps.
5. Restart your device.
6. Now connect to a Wi-Fi hotspot and launch the VPN application.
   • Select any one of the following countries: Germany, India or Netherlands.
7. Once the VPN is set up, simply head over to Settings > About phone > System updates > Check for updates. 

The update should show up on your device or else you would have to perform the last two steps once again if there’s no success the first time.
