The new universe will give players the chance to interact with characters and stories from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, Avatar, and more as well as play, watch, shop, and otherwise interact with the content. Players will also have the opportunity to create their own stories and live out their Disney fanfic in the way they love. The entertainment universe will also be powered by Unreal Engine, ensuring high-fidelity graphical content for players.

Currently, Disney hasn’t provided any further details on when this entertainment universe will come online or what else to expect. But, since things are only in the early stages, it’s safe to say that players will have to wait a while before they start seeing additional Disney content appear in Fortnite.

Apart from the collaboration, Disney is also investing billions of dollars (1.5 to be exact) “to acquire an equity stake in Epic Games alongside the multiyear project” reported the statement posted on the Walt Disney Studio website
