DSLR Controller app updated with support for Android Wear, improved Timelapse photography and more

Chainfire is one of the most respected developers in Android community. He developed the most popular superuser app, the SuperSU. And he also got many other advanced apps up his sleeve, such as CF.lumen, Triangle Away, etc. Among these, one of the most noted and appreciated app is the DSLR Controller for Canon EOS DSLR cameras. There is no other app in Play store as advanced as DSLR controller,when it comes to controlling your DSLR using your android phone. And the app has today received an update with many bug fixes, timelapse photography and support for Android Wear.

DSLR controller works with a USB cable connecting your Canon EOS camera with your Android phone. No root required. Only thing needed is a compatible camera, a compatible smartphone, and a good USB cable. Chainfire also notes that compatible camera’s and WFT boxes can also be controlled using Wi-Fi (in either Smartphone/Tablet mode or EOS Utility/PC mode).

Coming to the update, Android wear devices are now supported. So that you can now trigger your DSLR camera with your Wear device (Only trigger the photo, you cannot see the shots). A card will be shown in your wear device, allowing you to capture immediately or a delayed capture with 5 second capture window.

Next major feature is Timelapse photography. It now allows you to set a time to when to start the Timelapse, rather than being started immediately. For full details on this feature, check out the link at the end of this post. Also, there are many Kitkat compatibility fixes. Now, you can store photos to external SD card. Also support for TDLS feature of Wifi is added.

DSLR Controller is available on the Play Store for $8. It may not work on all devices. First, try the free version of the app to test that if it works properly on your phone.
