Google Currents APK Installer file.

Google just rolled its another application, both for iOS and Android devices. We’ve found it limited to United States only for now (unable to install from India, if you’re wondering) but those outside of US can install it too, by downloading the APK installation file of Google Currents.

So, without much ado, lets get you the download link you’re craving for.

Download and Installation

Download the Google_Currents_1.0.apk file and transfer it to your phone. Now, enable Unknown Sources from Settings>Applications and using a file manager go to the apk and tap on it to install it.

[Optional, of course » Subscribe to our feed: tap on Add More icon in library, and search for theandroidsoul. Add the first result, and you’re done.]

If you’re in US, download Google Currents from Market itself (this should be open for other countries too soon enough, btw!).

What is Google Currents?

Well, it’s a feed reader like app which allows the publishers — that is, websites whose feeds you subscribe to — customize their feed article’s layout for this very specific app. It means see more magazine-like layouts and reading articles in that format does gets damn interesting — next-gen sort of.

Not only the feeds, you can add an Google Plus account too! Plus, trending topics section allows you to catch up with what’s the latest and greatest around you for the moment. Add YouTube channel to the mix and this is your all new favorite feed reader.

And btw, you get full feeds in Google Currents, even if the website ha not provided full feeds by default, which is good for users.
