Galaxy Note 8 Emperor Edition for Asian markets to feature 6GB RAM and 256GB storage

Samsung launched its flagship smartphone in two versions — Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. It seems the Korean giant wants to continue the trend even with its flagship phablet, the Galaxy Note 8. A new leak has emerged on Weibo suggesting that Samsung will launch a special edition of Galaxy Note 8 dubbed as Galaxy Note 8 Emperor Edition.

Interestingly, the leak adds on that this Galaxy Note 8 Emperor Edition will remain exclusive to Asian markets. The special Note 8 edition will first be released in China followed by its launch in South Korea.

The Emperor Edition Note 8 will differ from the standard model in terms of storage capacity. The latter is expected to feature 6GB of RAM and 64GB storage while the special edition will pack in 6GB RAM and a whopping 256GB native storage. Notably, the tipster had earlier stated that the device will offer 8GB of RAM but later changed it to 6GB.

Now, although the Galaxy Note 8 Emperor Edition may not be released in markets outside Asia, there are reports suggesting that North America, Europe, and South America may also get two versions of Galaxy Note 8. One will be the standard model with 6GB+64GB storage and the other will come with 6GB+128GB storage. The latter is reported to carry a price tag of around $1,100.
