T-Mobile rolls out January security update to Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, Note 5, Note Edge and Note 4

T-Mobile is showering new updates for several Samsung Galaxy devices right now. The Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, the Galaxy Note 5, Note 4, and the Note Edge are all receiving new security updates.

The Galaxy S6 Edge Plus gets the new update with build number G928TUVS4DQA1. It is based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and installs the latest Android security patch. The build number for the Galaxy Note 5 is N920TUVS4DQA2. The Verizon Galaxy Note 5 also received a similar security update yesterday.

Next up, the older Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy Note Edge, both of these devices have also received new updates from T-Mobile. The build number of the update for the Note 4 is N910TUBU2DQA1, while the Note Edge build number is N915TUBU2DQA1.

All of these updates are available as OTA and are recommended installs. Make sure your device is sufficiently charged and is connected to a strong WiFi network before installing the update. The Galaxy S6 Edge, S6 Edge Plus and the S6 are set to receive the Nougat update very soon.
