While most of Samsung’s budget lineups usually never receive major OS updates in recent times, the Galaxy J7 Prime and Galaxy Tab E 8 have taken exception: both handsets that are offered by T-Mobile have been confirmed to receive Android 8.0 soon.
On T-Mobile’s support page, the Galaxy J7 Prime and Galaxy Tab E 8 are being listed to be in the waiting line for the Oreo update. Both devices join other Galaxy devices such as the Galaxy S8 series, Galaxy Note 8 and Galaxy S7 range that will be upgraded to the OS in the near future.
However, it remains unclear when the Uncarrier plans to roll out the Oreo update to those devices. It’s not also clear when and if the international versions of the Galaxy J7 Prime and Galaxy Tab E 8 are getting the upgrade as well.
