Super Mario Run is now available for Android devices

After over 3 months of being available for iOS users, Nintendo’s Super Mario Run is now available for download in the Google Play Store. If you’ve been waiting to try out this game on your Android device, you can do so now.

To run the game, you will need an Android device running Android 4.2 or later, and a working internet connection. Yes, the game requires an internet connection to work. Nintendo has gone with the freemium approach for Super Mario Run.

This means that the game is free to download, but you will need to pay a fee of $10 to unlock the full game. Unlike Mario games on the desktop and consoles, the mobile version does almost everything automatically.

Mario is constantly running in the game, and you job is to simply tap the screen and swipe upwards to jump over obstacles. There are three games modes called World Tour, Toad Rally, and Kingdom builder. All three modes are available for trial and you can also play as Peach, Luigi, Yoshi, and Toadette later on in the game.

  1. The game is not working on my Moto X Play running LineageOS 14.1. It’s showing as incompatible on the Play Store and as for sideloading, it crashes after the Nintendo logo appears.

Does anyone of you know fix for this?
