Sprint updates Galaxy S9, S9+, Note 9, J7 Perx, Moto E5 Play, LG G7 and LG G Pad F2

Galaxy S9 Plus Android Pie beta

Sprint is rolling out software updates to multiple devices ranging from the flagship Galaxy Note 9 to the budget Moto E5 Play and even the little-known LG G Pad F2 slate. The updates, as expected, install new Android security patches, fix bugs, and improve system stability and performance.

The Galaxy Note 9 is receiving firmware version N960USQU1CSB3 with February 2019 security patch and bug fixes. On the other hand, the Galaxy S9 and S9+ are receiving software version G960USQS3CSAG and G965USQS3CSAG and like the Note 9, the security patch level is February 2019.

There is also an update for the LG G7 ThinQ arriving as version G710PM14b and brings the same security patch as Samsung devices. The story doesn’t change for the budget Galaxy J7 Perx and Moto E5 Play, whose software updates are arriving as versions J727PVPS5BSA3 and OCPS27.91-140-6, respectively.

As for the LG G Pad F2 tablet, the new update is arriving as version LK46010o and unlike others on this list, the changelog only talks of bug fixes.

These updates are available over the air, with some having been around for over a week or so. That said, it’s likely that some people already got the updates and others haven’t. That’s just how OTA updates work.
