Sprint to Launch LG’s 2GB RAM Phone, LG LS970

Quad-core CPU? Check. 2GB of RAM? Check. Powerful GPU? Check. HD screen? Check. 13 MP camera? Check again. If the specs of a device are what matter to you, then the LG LS970 coming to Sprint’s 4G LTE network in Q4 this year might just be the device for you.

According to BriefMobile’s source, the LS970 (going by the production name “Eclipse 4G LTE”) will have the APQ8064 chipset that sports a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Krait CPU with the much-anticipated Adreno 320 GPU, which will be a powerful combination and go head to head with the NVIDIA Tegra 3 and Samsung’s Exynos 4 Quad quad-core processors (and may even surpass them). The LS970 will also have 2GB of RAM, making it an all-around performance package. Other specs include a 4.67-inch WXGA (1280×768) display, 16GB of internal storage, a 13 megapixel camera, 4G LTE capability, and a 2100 mAh battery.

With specs like these, LG seems set to make a comeback in the market with a bang. The LS970 will probably be the first device to be powered by the quad-core S4 Snapdragon CPU combined with the Adreno 320 GPU, which would make it a very desirable device and probably a big seller when it gets released. We’ll update you with further information on the device as and when it comes out, so stay tuned.
