Sony has announced a new variant of its flagship smartphone Xperia Z4. This new model is the Verizon specific device dubbed Xperia Z4v and it packs some upgraded aspects over the Xperia Z3+.

The major highlight of this device is that it features a 5.2 inch WQHD display that is much higher than the Full HD 1080p display on the Xperia Z3+. Another updated feature is the inbuilt Qi and PMA wireless charging support. The other difference is the inclusion of a slightly more capacious battery of 3,000 mAh battery instead of the 2,930 mAh battery.

The Xperia Z4v has a few other differences in terms of the front facer and sensor positions. Even the Sony logo has been repositioned to make space for the Verizon logo. It is 18 grams heavier and 1.7 mm thicker than its siblings.
